Stuart Peterson founded Artis Ventures in 2001 as a public technology investor and in 2005, led the evolution to private venture technology and life science investing. Since 2005, he has invested over $425m in private companies including StemCentrx and YouTube. He has been recognized as a 2017 Forbes Midas List honoree, TechCrunch VC of the Year Finalist, and NY Times/CB Insights Top 100 VC honoree.

Stuart currently sits on the Board of Directors for IDbyDNA, TAE LifeSciences, Versa Networks, Zenrez, and Locus BioSciences and is a Board observer for Fabric Genomics, Cohesity, and Excision BioTherapeutics.

Stuart received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and M.B.A. in Analytic Finance from The University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business.
