On Wednesday, Artis Ventures Partner Austin Walne spoke on WSGR's panel in Palo Alto for its Innovator's Edge Series: Packaging Your Company for Investors. The panel discussed how to grab the attention of an investor and more effectively communicate your story, including how to prepare before you present, key components of a pitch that investors want to see, methods for organizing the content, and goals for the pitch.

Walne provides entrepreneurs with the following "musts" for your company pitch.

1. Know your "Why" and effectively communicate it.
2. Show a passion for solving a hard problem.
3. Clearly articulate the size of your market or its potential if you're creating a new one.
